Sharing thoughts: Where is ‘home’ for you?

19 January 2019Joanna K.

I have recently read that ‘home’ is where childhood memories are made. Having lived between different countries, cultures and languages, I was wondering if home is a particular place to go; a place you are part of. In other words, if it is a kind of shelter where you feel safe and understood. And where you can enjoy the warmth of the heart.

Short and sweet, for me, home is a ‘place’ where I can feel warmth and get inspired. Where the gaze freely explores the scenery and the mind visits new ideas.

Having a cottage by the water, being surrounded by colourful plants just about to come to life sounds like the ideal place to find inspiration for writing!

So, where is ‘home’ for you?

    So, where is ‘home’?
Home can be a place defined by the presence of our parents, our family and friends. We may move from one place to another, yet it is the people who make it home. Wherever they are, every time we are reunited, we feel at home. Home can be a condition or a feeling, like love – respect – peace – comfort – joy. It is where we feel full of zest for life.
