Father’s Day: Celebrating and remembering
Thoughts in action
The celebrating part
Today, we are celebrating Father’s Day (in Europe). We are acknowledging the role fathers play in the development of their children and how they enter the world of adults.
Let’s remember to send wishes to those who are or plan to be fathers. With all our respect, we are thinking of those who lost their father or their child. With the same respect, we are thinking of those who have decided to not have any children.
The remembering part
It’s been 20+ years since my father passed away. I have lived most of my life without than with my father. As a child, I felt sad for what I wouldn’t experience as a daughter. While growing up, sad for what he wouldn’t experience as a father. While maturing, I came to appreciate what life brings my way.
